Haven't been on for a while

Just as the title says.

of course I have a few things to blog about...

Ok 1 thing is I am getting into shows that take like twice as much work as my other ones were That takes up a lot of my time.

Also I'm working on a book entitled Persephones Daughter Of course that will probably change but the cool thing is that my charactors are going to real places around the world.  I am litarally using Google Maps and looking at England to write my story realistically.  They be going more places soon but that's a start.

I have been pushing myself into the siming community more and more and hopefully will have time to go into competing with far better work.  Of course it sometimes feels like there is no time for anything but oh well.

So my cousin came over and we were talking about Calvin and Hobbes which is a pretty awesome strip only a bit negative....

I have most of the books and I was wondering

(1) Do you remember/ miss/ wish was around when you were old enough to read it?
(2) Do you think Hobbes is a stuffed animal or real?
(3) Have you read every C&H comic?

NaNoWriMo

Hi Everyone!  As I hope you know it is Auguest 27 which means todays topic is pretty far away.  However it is such a unique time that I feel like talking about it.

For all of you who don't know what NaNoWriMo is it is a month-long writing extraviganza where you try to write 50,000 words in 30 days.  To achieve this goal you have to write 1,667 words a day every day in November. Yesterday I decided to try writing 1,667 words to see how it felt and it was very...tirering. To understand how big that number is I now have three and a half pages written and it took me at least an hour...maybe 2.

I know what you're thinking Why did they choose NOVEMBER!! November is such a busy month. And that's true but there really isn't a single month that isn't busy! Think about it. Most months have at least one holiday and maybe you wouldn't rather be writing while the turkey is in the oven but it's better to do it then instead of when it's hot and muggy or when you are listening to Joy to the World for the millionth time.

I haven't done NaNoWriMo yet so I'm probably not the perfect person for tips but I'll tell you what I know.

(1) STOP looking at the word counter!Yes I know it is hard but you should go for a good hour before you check your word counter. 
(2) Find Friends! Find writing buddies to keep you going. People to discuss your story to is one of the biggest helps when you need to write 20,000 more words.
(3) PLAN PLAN PLAN!Don't sit down at you computer and spend November 1st trying to figure out what in the world you are writing about.
(4) When all else fails just type! One of my favorite books that I'm writing started by me just putting the first sentence I thought of on paper.
(5) Are you still out of ideas? What about Fan Fiction? Fan Fiction is a fairly easy style because the story is practally set up before you start.
(6) Go Online! Don't forget that the internet is here to help.  If you ever need something, that's what google is for!

I hope this will help some of you out and make NaNoWriMo easier.

Sim Social

Hi everyone! As you probably know I am into the Sims.  In fact right now I am waiting for the sims 3 to load up....I never would have joined this community at all if it were for the sims.

On the 24th Sims Social came out on Facebook...A regular facebook with far more options in creation and gameplay...  You get quests from the "the gang" and earn simoleans based off your personality

Their are ways ea suceeded in this game and ways they didn't do as well...

The thumbs ups: Good customization of the player including personality; nice shop which is easy to navigate; (my opinion) better that the average facebook game

The thumbs downs: Their is a major need for more non-player characters; (my opinion) the energy bar is rather annoying (I'd like to talk about this a bit. If you've ever played Frontierville, you know the energy bar can drive you crazy...In Sim Social it is handled far better...not every little thing costs energy and you get 15 energy to start); There are (my opinion) far more girls than guys making the "fllirting" quests rather difficult; They also definatly need a little area where you can apply for more neighbors because none of my friends from home play the sims (besides who wants to flirt with their best friend...and then see them at school or work or anywhere the next day)

Hi guys!  I was working on some pictures and I thought I'd share this one with you all! I'll have more later!

Writing Competition Entry #1

Hi Everyone!  I’m Angie! I typed. What else should I put? I guess I started this blog because I wanted to try something new and different. I’m only twenty-five, but I hit a mid-life crisis/ nervous breakdown yesterday.  I felt like I was just sitting around. At first I went crazy and decided to go bungee jumping. Thankfully my common scene caught up to me immediately. That doesn’t always happen. Like last time. Hoo Boy.

                I was watching this movie called “The Holiday” It’s about these two women who decided to do a home exchange at their bleakest hour.  Shortly after arriving, they meet their Prince Charming and live happily after. A bunch of other stuff happens, but that’s the plotline, short and simple.

                What I did next…I’m not so proud of. Somehow my warped 21-year-old mind decided “Hey! If that could happen to them, why not me?” Stupid, I know, but  I instantly googled home-exchange, and Blammo! Within 20 minutes, I had found a comfortable looking house, owned by a responsible woman. “Just like the movie!” I thought. This was getting better and better!

                The next day, my taxi pulled up to the house I’d seen online. I creaked the door open, expecting a warm and comfortable home. Of course I was wrong. The place was a disaster. It was so messy! I spent the first day just cleaning up. There was discarded trash everywhere, and cobwebs in every corner. The clothes in the closet were amazingly dusty. Not a surface was without something gross (who knows what) right in the wrong place. I think I saw a rat creeping along the floor, and I defiantly heard it.  How could this lady live in this dump?!

                Then a terrible thought entered my mind, and I texted my friend. “Please go to my house. Check on it. Lady I switched with will be there” and I at once received “Will do. Will text back 15 min.” 15 minutes take forever, by the way. I always thought that it was such a short time period, but it isn’t. Eventually my best friend texted back “Your house is fine. Lady lost her husband, though she’s in depression.”  I texted back a thank you, said I was sorry, and collapsed on the couch. When I sat up and looked out the window. It was 8 AM, 12 hours since I had first lain down.  I had fallen asleep.

                My back was so sore from the couch.  I stood up and promptly stepped into so rat poop. I shrieked and hopped towards the paper towels .I slipped, and I fell into some wet newspapers.  I didn’t want to get up or do anything. Why didn’t I get in touch with the lady? I should have toured her home! I hated being her.  When I changed homes, I had thought my life sucked. Now I know. The grass is much greener on my side.

I'm really proud of Myself!

So as you all know I have entered a modeling competition.  The first assignment was basically a sim with their car. Only, you have to be creative because if you don't you are basically asking to get eliminated. So here is my picture. I really worked at it so I hope it shows!  Here you go!

Alli has just turned 20, and her boss has started actually looking past her age.  She knows that this is just the start of some long but rewarding work!

Man...

I want more people to read this...and my legacy...but the siggy thing doesn't work...and yeah...Don't know why people would want to read about what's happening to me....wish I did...'cuz then you all might actually read this...why am I basically talking to myself?...i don't know....yeah I do...'cuz it relieves this feeling...sometimes...and 'cuz if people do read this...welll, here is something for them to read, yanno?...maybe I'm not talking to myself...well here is hoping to that I get more, good viewers....maybe I'll starting writing stuff i write in my free time here...yanno I have some stories set up...just gotta get 'em going...well please read my legacy!
